Bulverde-Spring Branch Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is more than an ambulance service; more than just a ride to the hospital. For more than three decades, we have been caring for the health and spiritual needs of the residents and visitors in the Bulverde Spring Branch area. Our commitment begins long before a call for help and lasts far beyond the safe delivery to an emergency room. This devotion to serve others runs deep just like Guadalupe River that flows through our service area.
Established as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, this award winning agency has a vision “to identify and serve the needs of humanity”. This conviction is demonstrated in everything we do and visible through numerous community-focused programs and services.
Focusing on our strengths, the community, and the underlying values needed, the mission of Bulverde-Spring Branch EMS is to provide an immediate response, with the highest trained emergency medical professionals, utilizing state of the art technology. Our goal is to reduce response times in 90% of all priority calls to ten minutes or less, while improving a coordinated system of patient care through effective resource management and forward-thinking governance. The BSBEMS business plan leads the way. It renews our vision and strategic focus: adding value to our community, strengthening the network of first responders, education, volunteerism and outreach within our service area.
The BSBEMS business plan also provides the step-by-step strategy for improving our immediate emergency response; retaining and recruiting competent employees; increasing volunteerism; predicting future needs and operating within an efficient balanced budget. In order to implement these changes and improve service, we plan to strengthen our most appreciable asset, personnel, and establish ourselves as the educational leader in emergency services. This goal is in-line with the original charter of our 501c3 nonprofit organization and capabilities.
BSBEMS is built on the CORE VALUES of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Empathy. The culture and management of our organizational structure is like a family tree. From its roots to the individual leaves, the expectations remain the same…to identify and serve the needs of humanity. Whether paid, volunteer, serving on our governing Board of Directors or the Emergency Services District, everyone must use their professional role of service to our community, as a trusted privilege. We are PROUD of our service and the PRIVILEGE to serve all humanity.
